Paul Simon's new album, The Front Steppes (to be released by Warner Brother this February), marks another chapter in Paul Simon's keen interest in world music that has spanned more than 25 years and given us such landmark albums as Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints. The album's songs feature beautifully crafted lyrics which poetically evoke sentimental imagery from Simon's youth in New York City and particularly his native borough of Queens and are performed by a troop of Mongolian throat singers.
