Pasadena - Texas quarterback Colt McCoy, current title-holder of the coolest name in sports, had a stellar evening in last night's BCS Championship Game. Colt McCoy made headlines almost as soon as he put his hands on the ball by getting knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury during the Longhorns' first possession. From there, Colt McCoy, the "Pride of Tuscola", never looked back continuing in the spotlight for the rest of the epic game. Brent Musburger's face lit up each of the 73 times he went on to say "Colt McCoy" in his trademark folksy timbre. At halftime, the air was once again abuzz with the name Colt McCoy who was reportedly in the locker room with his father, "Colt McCoy's Dad", deciding the question of whether or not he would return to lead his team in the second half. He did not. But that didn't slow Colt McCoy down a bit - nor did the fact that his Longhorns were being brutally pounded by Alabama. Like an unstoppable locomotive, Colt McCoy continued to garner media attention throughout the entire game triumphantly outshining not only his own teammates but also the ultimately victorious Alabama football squad and even the game's MVP, Alabama running-back and Heisman Trophy winner whats-his-name.
